Beyond Acceptance

Beyond acceptance there is meaning to be uncovered and an ongoing profound relationship to be weaved into the very fabric of your life.

Quote by Dr. Alan Wolfelt

“Your loved ones devoted time & energy to various passions. They made, collected & nurtured things, places and relationships. Wherever they laid their hands with love, those places are sacred”

You are one of those sacred places that has been impacted & shaped by your loved one’s love.

I believe that, as you reflect deeply on the meaning of your loved one’s life, and as you find ways to cultivate an ever-evolving relationship with them, you’ll build an altar at the centre of your being where they’ll stay, forever a part of you.

From this deep internal place, you get to carry their legacy forward through the myriad of ways in which you choose to share their love, to honour and remember them.

Here is a thoughtful place to begin building that altar.

Explore sources of meaning after a profound loss

In this video, you’ll be guided as you explore meaning-making. Reflecting on the meaning of your loved one’s life & love will help you write a deeper story about their impact and legacy, both on you, and on the larger world.

Explore your loved one’s imprint.

In this video, you’ll attempt to answer the question: “Who am I because of you”. This path of inquiry will help you weave the threads of a continuing bond as you reflect on all of the ways in your loved one has shaped and impacted you.

About me:

Hi! I’m Marie, a certified Grief Coach and Death Doula who walks the path of healing with those who have suffered a profound loss. I specialize in creating brave spaces for humans to be seen, heard and witnessed in the fullness of their experience of loss. Spaces where they get to deepen their relationship to themselves in a way that promotes deep & lasting healing.

My approach is based on the assumption that you are the expert of your own grief and my work focuses on guiding you back home to yourself so that you can find meaning in your life in the “after”. Having lost my partner to cancer, my guidance and coaching comes from both education and personal experience which allows me to deeply relate to my client’s experience of grief and loss. I am the founder of Empowered Through Grief, a coaching practice and community that provides a brave space for healing and post-traumatic growth for humans grieving all types of losses.

My life’s work is to help normalize grief by engaging in difficult conversations surrounding death and dying. I believe that by getting acquainted with death, we learn so much about life itself.

In my work, I have had the privilege of supporting hundreds of folks through 1:1 coaching and group experiences. My work is trauma informed and respectful of your religious & spiritual beliefs.
